Sumter Community Foundation accepts gifts from individuals, families, businesses and other nonprofit organizations. These gifts go into a permanent endowment to provide for the needs of Sumter County. Earnings from this endowment provide grants to existing charitable programs and nonprofit organizations.
The grants given through Sumter Community Foundation provide nonprofits in the community with resources to ensure ongoing positive growth. A local board of advisors reviews the proposals and makes grant decisions. For additional information regarding Sumter Community Foundation grants, see Affiliate Funds in the Nonprofit Resources section.
