The Community Foundation works closely with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds that address the needs in our community and make giving easy, flexible and effective.

What will your legacy be?

Since 1984, we have helped more than 380 individuals, families and organizations create a legacy of giving for themselves, their family or their business. No two donors are alike; each has different motivations and needs. Our donors represent a diverse population from the young to the young-at-heart and from those with modest means to the very wealthy. At the Community Foundation, we believe anyone can be a philanthropist.

Over the years, we have overseen thousands of grants made to nonprofit organizations, organizations that cover many fields of interest from the arts and education to health and the environment. This flexibility allows us to serve donors with diverse interests and a wide variety of nonprofit organizations.

The Foundation is responsible for investing these funds and distributing grants as directed by our donors. Before these grants are distributed, we perform due diligence on each organization to guarantee that it is legitimate and viable. In addition to managing our donors’ grants, we also award competitive grants to meet the needs within our 11-county service area. 

We provide our donors with a unique giving experience tailored to suit their situation and goals, and we work diligently to connect them with the issues they care about most. Hundreds of individuals, corporations and nonprofit agencies have selected the Community Foundation as their philanthropic partner due to our knowledge of local needs and our extensive experience in local problem solving.
