The Food and Wine Festival has served as the annual fundraiser for the Community Foundation since 1995. Since then, it has grown into a series of premier wine events offering an impressive gathering of domestic and international wineries and local chefs and caterers.

The purpose of the Central Carolina Food and Wine Festival is to showcase local gourmet food purveyors and domestic and international wineries while raising money for a good cause.

Proceeds from all events support efforts of Central Carolina Community Foundation to award grants to nonprofit organizations in the Midlands. In 17 years the event has raised
more than $810,000 in support of the Foundation's mission.
