The purpose of the Central Carolina Food and Wine Festival is to showcase local gourmet food purveyors and domestic and international wineries while raising money for a good cause. Proceeds from all events support efforts of Central Carolina Community Foundation to award grants to nonprofit organizations in the Midlands. In 2009, the Foundation distributed over $6.1 million in grants and scholarships. In 15 years the event has raised over $650,000 in support of the Foundation's mission.
