Daughters of the Holy Cross - Sara Hempley Scholarship

The Daughters of the Holy Cross set up this scholarship fund in honor of Sara Justice Hempley.   The scholarship will provide an academic scholarship in the amount of $500 to a non-traditional student to obtain a degree from technical, two or four year college. 

Preference will be given to applicants who at one time during their academic career attended a Richland School District 1 school and who have some degree of life and work experience rather than persons recently out of high school.  Applications  for the award may be made at any time during the year.  The scholarship is for one year, however the scholarship recipient may re-apply if making satisfactory academic progress.
