Field of Interest Funds
By identifying and distributing grants concurrent with a donors area of concern, a field of interest fund ensures the donors interests are funded, but doesn't limit the funding to one particular organization. Any organization that fulfills objectives identified by a donor within their selected scope may be awarded a grant.
Benefits
- Funding opportunities are available to several organizations with program work that falls within a donors area of interest.
- Organizations with similar objectives compete for grants, and only those with the best programming and responsible accounting are awarded grants from a donors fund.
- The fund gives a donor flexibility and focus simultaneously.
- Donors are assured that causes that touched their hearts in their lifetimes will be supported in perpetuity.

Dedication and Purpose Remembered - A Field of Interest Donor Story A history of mindful involvement, a charitable heart and an interminable community loyalty are qualities that only begin to describe the years of generosity bestowed on this community by Susan and Dave Robinson. Until his death in 1989, Dave served this community through leadership on countless committees, organizations, nonprofit boards and businesses. Susan's vision of teaching and education has set an example for children who have gone on to be active and altruistic leaders, neighbors, family members, coworkers and volunteers.
Following Dave's death, Susan established the David W. Robinson Catalyst Award Fund. This fund provides an annual award that recognizes an area organization exemplifying leadership, creativity, vision and commitment in addressing local critical issues, as well as collaboration and cooperation with others in the community to solve pressing problems all traits of the awards namesake.
Together, they were examples of mindful and purposeful community responsibility. Individually, one lives on to contribute daily to the community. The others legacy lives forever through a fund and an award given in his name for the values he believed in and lived by. printer friendly version
