The Kershaw County Endowment operates under the umbrella of Central Carolina Community Foundation, and this relationship eliminates the need for Kershaw County to maintain a separate IRS tax status. By taking advantage of this relationship, Kershaw County Endowment avoids the costs and administrative burdens of a separate foundation.
The Kershaw County Endowment accepts gifts from individuals, families, businesses, private foundations, charitable trusts, civic associations and other nonprofit organizations. Earnings from this endowment will provide grants to meet community needs within Kershaw County by helping existing charitable programs and nonprofit organizations. It is this principal investment that builds the resources to support Kershaw nonprofits today and forever.
A local, volunteer Board of Advisors guides the Kershaw County Endowment with technical assistance and management support services provided by Central Carolina Community Foundation staff. As a member of Kershaw County, you have the opportunity to express your commitment to this community through local, tax-deductible gifts. These gifts assure that your county benefits to the full extent from the endowment fund.
