JoAnn M. Turnquist

President & CEO

JoAnn leads the Foundation in implementing the long-range strategic plan and works with the board of trustees and staff to set the vision for new initiatives. She provides stewardship services to new and existing donors, and works to expand the role of the Foundation within the community.

 

Jo Bull

Chief Operating Officer

Jo oversees the Foundation's ongoing relationships and stewardship services for our four regional affiliate organizations as well as our agency fundholders. In addition, she is responsible for the management of the Central Carolina AIDS Partnership (CCAP.)

 

Tonia E. Cochran

Tonia is responsible for coordinating publications and marketing/public relations objectives in accordance with the Community Foundation's overall communications message and vision. She also assists with special events.

 

Edward E. Conroy, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Edward manages fund balances and investment information for donors, local organizations and agency endowments and directs all finance and accounting functions of the Foundation. He also oversees human resources for the Foundation.

 

Ellen Shuler Hinrichs

Director of Community Philanthropy

Ellen is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of community philanthropy activities including research, discretionary and designated grants, and strategic partnerships and initiatives.  She also ensures the Foundation is effectively communicating our strategic impact in the community.
 

Veronica L. Pinkett-Barber

Veronica is responsible for reviewing and evaluating grant and scholarship requests, working with current grantees and interested applicants to develop proposals and educating the community about the program activities of the Foundation.

 

Kelly Rogers

Staff Accountant

Kelly supports the CFO in carrying out the financial responsibilities of the Foundation.  She handles the day-to-day accounting functions of the Foundation and is responsible for analyzing, evaluating and recommending process improvements.
 

Kristin W. Williamson

Interactive Marketing Manager

Kristin is leading the Talk About Giving (TAG) initiative, which aims to encourage multi-generational conversation about philanthropy and make giving a part of the family value system.  She manages all aspects of the program including research, content management, promotion and data analysis.
