Shantrell Mitchell Honored as 2026 Best and Brightest 35 and Under by Columbia Business Monthly

Central Carolina Community Foundation is excited to announce that Shantrell Mitchell, our Senior Community Impact Associate, has been honored as one of Columbia Business Monthly’s 2026 Best and Brightest 35 and Under.

Each September, Columbia Business Monthly honors outstanding young leaders for their professional and community contributions through its Best and Brightest 35 and Under awards program. The publication highlights rising leaders who are shaping the Midlands with their talent, dedication, and vision.

Since joining the Foundation more than four years ago, Shantrell has played an important role in supporting nonprofits and strengthening community engagement across the Midlands. She manages Midlands Gives through the year-round giving platform and our annual giving day, supports nonprofit engagement, and helps connect organizations with opportunities to increase their visibility and support. She also contributes to the Foundation’s grant and scholarship programs, helping connect organizations and students with resources across the community.

Shantrell holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina. Her commitment to the community extends beyond her work at the Foundation. She serves as a Co-Troop Leader with the Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands, investing her time in helping young girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and connect with their community.

Throughout her time at the Foundation, Shantrell has brought a strong commitment to service, relationships, and the nonprofits and communities we serve.
