Anna Price is a 12 year old Dent Middle School student that was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May 2008. But rather than focusing on herself and her condition, she has worked to help others in many different ways over the past two years. She has spent many hours raising awareness and raising funds for children’s charity groups, even in the midst of chemotherapy and its associated side effects.
Anna is legally blind due to the tumor’s location, but is has not dampened her caring spirit. Since her diagnosis, Anna has raised over $500 for Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at a lemonade stand held at her home, coordinated a Ronald McDonald House pop tab collection program for her elementary school, and participated in numerous charity events through sharing her story, walking in suvivors laps, and raising money for the various charities.
