Greater Chapin Community Endowment (GCCE) has elected Angela Douglas Hood, Brandon Liles, Gerald Meetze, and Billie Williams to serve a three-year term on its Board of Advisors.

November 28, 2018 (Chapin, S.C.) – Greater Chapin Community Endowment (GCCE) has elected Angela Douglas Hood, Brandon Liles, Gerald Meetze, and Billie Williams to serve a three-year term on its Board of Advisors. 

Angela grew up in Chapin.  After graduating from Chapin High School, Angela attended Auburn University where she graduated with a degree in Industrial Design.  Angela works with Douglas & Cannon Real Estate, LLC.  She and her husband Scott have four children.

Brandon started a real estate company in 2006 and is consistently one of the top EXIT franchises in South Carolina.  He also owns Capital Real Estate Consultants.  Brandon is a graduate of Irmo High School and the University of South Carolina.  He and his wife, Meg have been married for 19 years.  They have two children.

Gerald is the owner of several companies including G. Meetze Construction, LLC and Capital Kitchen and Bath, LLC.  He is currently a board member with the Chapin Architectural Review Board and President of the Chapin Beautification Foundation.  Gerald graduated from the Citadel in 1990.  Gerald is married and has four children.

Billie is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and also has her Masters in Teaching from the Citadel Graduate College.  Billie is a teacher at Chapin High School where she teaches Honors Geography and Student Government.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she serves as the Student Activities Coordinator and Varsity Cheerleading Assistant Coach.

“We are excited to welcome Angela, Brandon, Gerald and, Billie, to our endowment board,” says Jennifer Perritt, Chair of GCCE’s Board.  “They are all active in the Chapin community and each brings a unique perspective to the Board as we continue to concentrate on ways to grow our endowment as well as create greater understanding on ways individuals can direct their philanthropy to make a positive impact on our greater Chapin community.”

Greater Chapin Community Endowment was founded in 2003 by local citizens with a deep interest in establishing an endowment fund that would be used to help local charitable organizations improve the lives of its fellow citizens.  GCCE is an affiliate of Central Carolina Community Foundation, who provides investment management and administrative services to the Chapin Endowment as well as a number of other charitable organizations throughout central South Carolina.  Led by an all-volunteer board of local advisors who work to grow the endowment fund and oversee the grant making process, GCCE has contributed $120,000 to 33 organizations serving the Greater Chapin areas from the endowment of over $500,000.  For more information on GCCE, visit www.yourfoundation.org/chapin or visit the Greater Chapin Community Endowment Facebook page.
