Give 8/28 Day
Support more than 100 local Black-led-and-benefiting nonprofits on August 28 through the Midlands Gives year-round platform.
Black Philanthropy Month
The goal of Black Philanthropy Month is to inform, involve, inspire and invest in Black philanthropy to strengthen African-descent giving in all its forms. To support this goal, you can attend local or national BPM 2021 events, share on social media why you think Black philanthropy is important using #BPM2021 or celebrate Give 8/28 by donating to a Black-led and Black-benefiting nonprofit on August 28.
August 3: Black Philanthropy Month Summit — This summit will help all leaders reimagine how to use philanthropy, social impact investing, angel investing, and venture capital to create a more equitable future.
August 28: Give 8/28 (formerly Giving Black Day) — 2021 marks the fourth year the Young, Black & Giving Back Institute (YBGB) will promote financial giving for Black-led and Black-benefiting nonprofits on August 28!
