Chick-fil-A has always been recognized as an excellent corporate citizen across the nation, but Mr. Tucker’s dedication to helping The Women’s Shelter provide service for the homeless is above and beyond the usual corporate philanthropic initiative.
Mr. Tucker calls regularly throughout the year to check on special in-kind needs that might be able to help operations at The Women’s Shelter. For over ten years, Mr. Tucker’s Bush River restaurant provided one meal per week to the residents of The Women’s Shelter.
Mr. Tucker has even had his restaurant supplement the menu at other Shelter events with no recognition or reimbursement simply because he believes in the mission of The Women’s Shelter.
