Foundation Welcomes Two New Staff Members

The Community Foundation is pleased to announce two new members to our staff. Jennifer (Jenni) Meyer, CPA, joined the Foundation on November 5 as our Vice President for Finance. On November 13, Ebony L. Perkins, MPA joined our staff as the Donor Relations Manager.
As VP for Finance, Jenni is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the Foundation by ensuring the accurate implementation and accounting of the Foundation’s finances and investments. She oversees fund balances and investment information for fundholders. In addition, she works closely with the Audit and Asset Management committees.
Jenni has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the business manager at the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication in Columbia, S.C. Her 14 years of accounting experience in both nonprofit and for-profit roles includes positions with Prysmian Power Cables and Systems, Richland County and Trout Unlimited in Arlington, V.A.
Jenni lives in Lexington with her 11-year-old son, Brennen. They have a dog named Tucker, a cat named Costello and a fish named Gills, all of whom are rescues.
In her role, Ebony is responsible for managing the Foundation’s ongoing relationships and services to current donors and constituents. She works closely with our Vice President for Development to execute a donor relations plan and assist Foundation staff in maintaining strategic relationships with donors and key stakeholders. In addition, Ebony is the staff liaison for the Board of Trustees.
Ebony has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Claflin University and a Master in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as a research assistant the University of North Carolina. She has also held positions with the Palmetto Health Hospital, the office of Congressman James E. Clyburn and the office of Governor Mark Sanford.
Ebony is a native of Columbia and enjoys reading, theatre arts and cooking. She has recently taken up golf and it is quickly becoming one of her favorite passions.
Both Jenni and Ebony have much to offer the Community Foundation and we are privileged to have them on staff.
