Literacy 2030 Sponsors Edventure's Storyland Exhibit

February 26, 2012

Through our Literacy 2030 initiative, Central Carolina Community Foundation is proud to serve as the local presenting sponsor for EdVenture's newest traveling exhibit, Storyland.

Storyland is a three-dimensional playland where books come alive. This colorful, interactive exhibit created by Minnesota Children’s Museum, is designed to encourage a love of reading and enhance early literacy skills for children 0 to 8 years old. Storyland transforms seven award-winning picture books into interactive environments that allow children to learn while they play.

  • The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
  • The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
  • Where’s Spot? by Eric Hill
  • If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff
  • Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault
  • Abuela by Arthur Dorros
  • Tuesday by David Wiesner

All are featured in English and Spanish. The entire family will enjoy exploring literacy skills and discovering the power of play in this imaginative, interactive experience. And don’t miss a special week-long celebration of Storyland on March 6-12. There will be activities, daily story time and appearances by costumed characters with a different book featured each day.

Storyland runs from through May 6. To learn more, visit Edventure Children's Museum.
