2016 Student Group Award Winner
Members of Team Volunteering is Philanthropy (V.I.P) understand that philanthropy is not just about money but anything that can be given to benefit the community, such as their time, effort and talents. The students have mentored youth through tutoring, modeled positive teen behavior through their work with youth at the Department of Juvenile Justice, and ministered to the needs of senior citizens.
In 2016, 95 students from Richland One Middle College were engaged in community service, volunteering 8,550 hours and donating more than 285 pounds of food, 157 books and 42 coats and blankets to local organizations.
