What is Will University?

Each year, Central Carolina Community Foundation hosts Will University, an interactive workshop that addresses the importance of having a will. Instructed by an estate planning attorney and a financial advisor, session participants learn about preparing a will, common mistakes in setting up a will, and how to find a professional that can help. The event is free of charge and offers helpful advice no matter where participants are in preparing their estate plans.

Why does Central Carolina Community Foundation offer Will University?

Everyone needs a will. Amazingly, only 44 percent of Americans have one! The Community Foundation hosts Will University to address this community need and to teach others how they can leave a bequest to an organization they supported during their lifetime. This workshop helps the Community Foundation fulfill its mission of increasing philanthropy in the Midlands.
